Elder: Douglas Berry and his wife Kellie Berry

We are from Southern California. We have been married for 44 years and have three daughters, three sons-in-laws, and one precious grandson. We moved to Porto just over two years ago and believe this is where God has us. We are excited to see what ministry God will put in our path.

Doug Berry: I accepted the Lord in my early teens but did not begin to walk with Christ and go to church until my late 20s. I have started and built several businesses and was on staff at a church in Southern California for over 15 years. In addition, I had a Coaching and Consulting business, concentrating on leaders and business development.

Kellie Berry: I grew up in a home without faith and Jesus saved me when I was 27. I met my husband in college and we got married when I was 20 and he was 22. Marriage without Jesus at the center was very challenging, and when Jesus called me and saved me I felt a new strength and equipping to take delight in being a wife and then a mother. My background Is in counseling, first as a substance abuse counselor, and then as a pastoral counselor and spiritual director. My greatest joy comes from walking alongside others and helping them deepen their union with Christ, and to witness the freedom and joy that comes from that.

Favorite scripture: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
